'specially because it tis a Virago.
Interesting platform - didn't have chance to find
out what it is from but seems to be a thick rubber runner of
some sort.
Can you tell the
rain finally started and was met with cheers all
around.

From The Afternoon Line-Up
Would have come in
handy if the rain would have become a full fledged
typhoon..
As it was it just rained coldly, steadily and rather
damply for many, many hours under the scudding gray
clouds But as usual, SKUNKS are resilient and
adaptive critters.
Some
simply donned rain gear and sat in the gentle spring
rain but as the deluge increased they moved to the
front porch. Kinda like waiting for the gunfighters
coming down the muddy streets of Deadwood toward
each other
Others used
umbrellas to circle the park making sure to keep the
speed down so as to avoid lift off. 10 --9 --

--and
it was noted and herein recorded that true to SKUNK
fashion none sought refuge under the tent where dry
chairs awaited.
As the dinner hour
drew close, however, all assembled in a roofed but
open pavilion (after all who wants their pork and
beans or macaroni salad diluted) and watched.
motorcycle movies. Admittedly, we all could have
stayed home, sat in a recliner, slippers dangling
from one toe. snacks to the right, snacks to the
left and libations to the front as oak logs blaze
merrily in the fire place, casting a warm, golden
glow throughout the room BUT that simply is not
congruent with the SKUNK mentality. So we sat in the
cold, damp winds, on cold hard plastic chairs, with
occasional 100 yard trips for hot coffee and watched
blurry, hard to hear bike movies until dinner,
Following an excellent dinner the traditional
Saturday evening festivities began, leading off with
a concert performed by siren and whistle pipe
sextets.
Various and sundry
prizes were won or otherwise forced upon attendees,
by the masters of ceremonies in their usual regalia:

The audience watched in some
cases with barely concealed excitement and in other
cases with apparent gas (remember the undiluted
beans)
As prizes, including traditional SKUNK head gear,
were
awarded.
