After
over 47 years of teaching and private practice I
have entered semi-retirement. For 25 years I taught
advanced graduate courses to future psychologists,
have had privileges at three area
hospitals, a solo independent practice office in our
home and
consulted with various places such as Headstart, County
Clinics, State Facilities and schools.
Semi-retirement means that I no longer conduct long
term therapy, behavior development or counseling
services; rather my services are limited to two
areas.
The first is the
NEUROCOGNITIVE EVALUATION AND DEVELOPMENTAL
PLANNING
for individuals 7 through 66 (so far) years of age
that exhibit characteristics of ADHD, learning
disability, dyslexia and/or executive function
immaturities and, in some cases,
individuals who may experience treatment resistant
depression, anxiety, oppositional or substance abuse
behaviors as a result of life frustrations secondary
to any of the above conditions which have not been
accurately identified or treated which is,
regrettably, an all too often occurrence. The purpose of this type of evaluation
is to identify neurocognitive characteristics that
may be impeding an individual's academic, vocational
and/or "life" performances and present this
information, with case management recommendations,
to the client and client approved service
providers so as to facilitate an integrated
educational, medical, social and psychological
treatment approach, improving both learning
efficiency and the use of what has been learned.
I do not personally provide follow-up treatment as
over the years I have worked with a
number of well qualified area professionals and I suggest that they be contacted
as needed.

The second area of services is related to
AUDIO VISUAL ENTRAINMENT
which is described in detail elsewhere. Essentially,
in overly simplistic terms, Audio-Visual
Entertainment is a non-medical, non-invasive means
of “fine-tuning” the brain through the use of
audio-visual stimuli that can be used to
"coordinate" the brain waves of the two cerebral
hemispheres and to lead the brain into more
efficient modes of functioning. “Brain Wave
Entrainment” has been consistently been found to be
beneficial for many individuals relative to
increased neurocognitive efficiency, i.e. learning
and using what one has learned more effectively. The
