The morning of Day Three was spent at the Strategic Air and Space Command Museum  http://www.sacmuseum.org/general/general.htm in Bellevue, Nebraska,

Bikes in background.

A Blackbird

A BIG place!!!!

A sidecar, of sorts? An obviously small, short range defense fighter to be hooked on to a long range bomber. If enemy sighted it unhooked, dispatched enemy and re hooked. It didn't work.

Tail gunner.

In the bomb bay.

OK folks, what is the bet? Will it be the cottage cheese and fruit salad - or - the humongous, warm caramel roll slathered with melting butter?

Do you promise this won't hurt?

---- and so with a slightly queasy tummy we headed out toward Minden, the Pioneer Village, a fateful meeting with a "biker gang" and a remarkable toilet, as  recounted in the Winter of 2008 issue of hack'd magazine, a dead battery and some rain.
