The
people who helped me along at the
beginning of a new "Adventure"
Over 45+ years I have written innumerable
"professional reports" and more recently several
articles for "niche" periodicals. Since writing can
be kinda fun for me (spulling tis another matter) I
wanted to see what more I could learn, in hopes of
improving my skills and have even more fun.
Thus I enrolled in an Elderhostel, Exploring
the Creative Writer in You Workshop at Green
Lake, Wisconsin during April of 2008. What follows
is a reporting of the experience.
The accurate
quote:
A good traveler
has no fixed plans and is not
intent on arriving.
Lao Tzu: 570-490 B.C.
"Unless, of course", he said with an
infectious grin, somewhat reminiscent of chicken pox, "it is raining."
Gust who tis not
sure if that is a promise or a foreboding and hopes
that Dick Y. will permit a posting of a "Texan's" report
to the class. If so, I might even have to learn how to
add sound and see if with a little "arm
twisting" he could be persuaded to do a "reading"
for Up Nort' folks. The possibility of hearing him
again is a powerful motivation to learn something
new.
